Is the empowerment of the parish as the people
of God to fulfill the Church's mission of love, justice, freedom and peace.
It accomplishes this by communally responding in an organized way to individual
and societal human needs. It assists parishioners to understand and act
on Catholic Social Teaching. PSM responds to human needs, whatever they
may be, whether hunger, housing, illness, loneliness or employment. These
needs may affect only one person or one family or they may arise from
social policy that affects many.
