Ministries
The Charismatic Prayer Group
meets on the first Thursday of each month at 8 p.m.
Novenas of Prayer offers prays to Our Lady of Perpetual Help and the Chaplet Novena to the Divine Mercy. Novenas of Prayer meets on Thursday evenings in the Spiritual Life Center.
The Rosary Society's goal is
to promote and spread devotion to Mary, Our Blessed Mother, and encourage
daily recitation of the Rosary. The Rosary Society is both spiritual and
social, and acts as a fundraiser. It is ready to assist the parish whenever,
or wherever needed.
The Ministry of Praise is a spiritual ministry in which members pray each day for the world, especially the members of the parish. It provides a spiritual powerhouse that will bring God's blessings on everyone in the parish: Pastoral Team, Support Staff, parents, youth, inactive Catholics and anyone in need of spiritual strength and direction.
The word Cursillo is taken from
the Spanish for "short course". The Cursillo is a short
course in the basics of Christianity and what it means to live the
life of a Christian.
Eucharistic Adoration is an
expression of our love and gratitude for Jesus who remains with us day
and night in the Blessed Sacrament. It is our response to Jesusx love
for us, whereby each of us is willing to spend a quiet holy hour of prayer
in his Eucharistic presence once a week on a regular basis.
Men's Fellowship meets the first Saturday
of each month from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Members share fellowship, scripture,
prayer, bagels and coffee. We read the gospel for the following Sunday
and you can share, or just listen, to how this scripture affects our lives,
or perhaps, how it could or should. Evenings of Prayer and Retreats
Evenings of Prayer and Retreats
are offered through the Spiritual Life Center. SCC (Small Christian Communities)
Small Christian Communities offer a way for people to come together and share life and faith in small group settings. Presently, there are about 200 parishioners who come together weekly or biweekly to share the impact the scripture has on their lives. Through these gatherings, powerful feelings of belonging are formed. Small Christian Communities bridge the gap between the larger gathering we experience on Sunday and the life we live in the every day world. Small Christian Communities allow us to share our experiences and to seek meaning in our lives while noticing the presence of God alive in our midst. It is a real opportunity for deepening one's relationship with God and with one another. The power of the Holy Spirit is manifested as the small group grows into a community of believers and takes up responsibility for creating a better world. Members of Small Christian Communities are actively involved in many ministries, bringing new vigor and enthusiasm to the larger church. |
